Shainee Gabel has agreed to write the screenplay for The Thing About Jane Spring for Paramount Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The book, a romantic comedy by Sharon Krum, is about a 30-something woman who just can't find the right guy. Gabel wrote and directed 2004’s A Love Song for Bobby Long starring John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson. There's no production schedule yet for The Thing About Jane Spring.
