BUREAU FASHION: Marchesa

Let’s see, where to start……….all I can say is that Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig did it again!! They completely took my breath away with this season’s Marchesa presentation. The “it” crowd that is always present for the coveted Marchesa shows, sat in anticipation at the Chelsea Art Museum – then the breatheless gasps began.

The dresses were exquisite this season with oriental inspired details: heavily bejeweled necklines, hand-painted florals on rolling sculptural drapes, and grand obi like loops that were revealed when a model turned. This season there were a few harem-panted jumpsuits cut in lace and finished with bolero jackets.

Chapman and Craig’s presentation was like going to an art show at the Louveau in Paris – each dress and look was like a priceless piece of art.
