Tommy Hilfiger Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Tommy Hilfiger celebrated his label's 25th anniversary at the Metropolitan Opera House. He's come a long way since 1985, when, as he told us, "I was just starting, and I did everything myself. I designed preppy, all-American clothes with a twist. It was only menswear for the U.S. market."

We were greeted by an army of male models in khakis and blue blazers that stretched all the way from the plaza outside up to the mezzanine. Jennifer Lopez, Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons, Kelly Osbourne and Neil Patrick Harris made their way from the Hilfiger runway show next door passing through a topiary American flag to the glitzy affair where the Strokes jammed on stage.

Over the last quarter century, Hilfiger has had a lasting affect on POP culture as his brand set trends around the world. We wish Tommy a very happy anniversary and wish him another successful 25 years!!
